How do you approach a friend and say..."You need a makeover" without hurting her feelings?
Their clothes are out dated, hair is frizzy or fly away, and they look drained and tired.

Try saying, "Let's get a makeover, together!". Let's face it, there's always room for improvement and updating. Select one task at a time...hair, clothes, makeup, skin, jewelry, whatever you want, revamp yourselves!!!!

Save time and money by seeking help from professionals. For example, hire a makeup artist to teach you how to apply makeup correctly. Hire an expert for few hours for private tutoring. They will teach you secret techniques that will have your face glowing. Through the use of makeup, you can create an illusions such as narrow nose, bigger eyes, fuller lips, higher cheekbones, narrower face, etc... Otherwise, you'll buy a bag full of makeup and come home to find that it looked better when the gal at the makeup store put it on for you. A private tutor will take the time to have you practice applying makeup on yourself and coach you through it.

As for wardrobe update, hire a Wardrobe Consultant to put together a new style for you. You can spend $1000 at a clothing store and end up with odds and ends, or you can spend $1000 with your stylist and get a complete new look. I don't know about you, but when I shop for clothes, I usually buy a few articles of clothing, a shirt or pants, or skirt. When I get home, I realize that I don't have anything to go with the new stuff. Save time and money by working with a professional. It really pays off, in the long run.

For my birthday, my husband hired a professional wardrobe consultant to take me shopping. We spent the day downtown, SF. He gave us a budget and off we went. The end result, I was able to create 12 different outfits with the clothing and accessories that I purchased that day. The consultant suggested articles of clothing that I can mix and match tops and bottoms to create multiple looks.

As for hair, I've mentioned this before... Try a new hairstylist. A fresh set of eyes will do wonders for you. If you've been going to the same hairstylist year after year and they haven't changed anything, it's time to venture out.
