Why Men’s Skincare Matters—The earlier you start, the better. Men are discovering permanent makeup, microblading and nano brows to restore definition around their eyes.  With age, their brow hairs are lighter in color, eyebrows are getting thinner, sparse, and loose shape.  Their lashes are lighter and thinning out too.   As a Permanent Makeup Artist , while designing their new eyebrows, I ask them a simple question.  What is your daily skin care routine?  Most common answer: I wash my face with soap morning and night.  Ta Dah!!!  That’s the jist of their routine.   It’s Not Just Vanity—It’s Vitality.  Looking rugged is no longer in, unless you're rangling in cattle. For years, skincare has been branded as a woman’s world—but the truth is, healthy skin is not gendered. For men in their 30s and 40s, developing a solid skincare routine isn’t just about looking good. It’s about preserving the health, texture, and resilience of...

What men should expect on their first Permanent Makeup Microblading appointment.

If you’re going for your first appointment with a permanent makeup artist for men's eyebrows (often called microblading, nano brows, or powder brows ), here’s what to expect and how to prepare: Before the Appointment Research the Artist: Check their portfolio (Instagram, website, Facebook etc.) to ensure they have experience with male clients— men’s brows are typically shaped differently than women's brows (fuller, wider and flatter than women's). Avoid Before Appointment: No alcohol, caffeine, or blood thinners (like aspirin, ibuprofen) for 24 hours before the procedure—it can cause bleeding and affect pigment retention. No tanning, sunburn, or intense skincare treatments (like chemical peels, retinol, or exfoliants) for at least 2 week. Avoid tweezing, waxing, or shaving brows for a few days so the artist can see your natural growth pattern. Prepare Mentally: Discuss your goals: Natural enhancement, filling gaps, or reshaping. Most men prefer a ...

Blond Brows There are several ways to darken light brow hair color.  Henna, Hair Dye, Laminated Brows with tinting, Topical Makeup, and Permanent Makeup.  Let’s explore each solution and the Pros and Cons for each option. Henna is a reddish brown powder made from dried henna leaves.  It is a temporary solution to color the brow hair.  Mix with water or a pigment developer to form a paste.  Use a small brow brush or a stamp to apply to the desired brow area. Pros: Henna powder is an Organic product.  However, mixing it with a pigment developer chemical will lengthen the color duration. Fairly inexpensive when done at home.
