Permanent makeup (PMU) , Nano Brows, Microblading is relatively an inexpensive, cosmetic procedure that can restore color and definition to your face. If you are unsure which procedure is best for you, here are some common thoughts to consider.  Which thoughts run through your head in the morning? Brows: I feel uncomfortable leaving the house or be seen in public without drawing in my brows. I don't know how to draw in brows, so it's very frustrating. I can draw in my Right brow, but have trouble filling in my Left brow...or vice versa. Eyes: My eyes feel small or invisible unless I have some eyeliner on. My waterproof eyeliner still smudges on a hot day or when I exercise. My hands are not steady therefore it is difficult for me to draw on liners. Lips: I used to have full lips, but now they are thin and non existant. I look sick or pale without lipstick. I apply lipstick several times a day. I can't use lipstick because I no longer have lips. I over draw my lip liner ...

Considering Permanent Makeup , but uncertain of the Pros and Cons. Here's a short list of the Benefits and Concerns.  Pros:  When applied correctly, Permanent Makeup (PMU) looks natural. It should be subtle and add definition to your fading features.  PMU does not smudge or wash off with water or sweat. Great for outdoor activities or work outs.  Ideal for individuals who are sensitive or allergic to traditional makeup products.  Convenience, wake up looking more defined. Less time putting on makeup in the morning.  Youthful, defining eyes and lips with a little color can make you look younger.   Cons:   Cost : Permanent Makeup (PMU) is not permanent. Over time, the color fades and needs to be "refreshed". Brows last about a 12 to 15 months, Eyeliner and Lips should last longer.  Research : Do your homework, thouroughly. This is your face. The form is used to document medical history, current and previous use of certain medications and to alert any possible interference for a quick recovery. When possible, the client should be in optimal health.  If you're feeling under the weather, just wait.  Remember, our body has a better chance of healing and fighting infections when we are well rested and healthy. If you were diagnosed with cancer and fear hair loss due to Chemotherapy,  be sure to check in with your doctor.  If you are currently under going Chemotherapy sessions, please wait.  If you have completed your Chemotherapy sessions, please consult your doctor and Permanent Makeup should be accessible to most clients. Basic Questions to Ask a Permanent Makeup Artist Prior to Scheduling an Appointment: Q1:   Are you OSHA Compliant? If the Artist is NOT Occupational Safety and Health Authorization (OSHA) compliant, take your business elsewhere.  This is basic requirement for every Permanent Makeup business in the state of California and most other states.   An annual inspection and testing is necessary to be granted a certificate to operate by the County Health Services. As of July 2012, all Permanent Makeup and Tattoo Artists need a permit issued by the Health Department to conduct business in CA.  The county will not issue a permit without an annual inspection.  Please note, this Permit is different than City Business Registration.  City Business Registration only notifies the City that you are conducting business at that location.
