Brow size matters

Eyebrows are a bit like fashion trends: dramatic, unpredictable, and occasionally questionable in hindsight. If brows could talk, they’d probably say, “We’ve been through a lot.” Permanent Makeup Brows: Before/After Let’s take a quick stroll through brow history: In the 1950s, women were committed . Brows were shaved off and redrawn as skinny, upside-down “U” shapes—like two very surprised commas living on your forehead. Then came the 1970s, when Brooke Shields showed up and said, “What if we just… didn’t touch them?” Suddenly, bold, bushy, almost-unibrows were the moment. In the 80s and 90s, high arches created drama and Pazzaz!!! 2000s, South Korean Kpop stars brought in the flat with no arch brows. Fast forward to the 2010s, and the Kardashian family gave us full, structured, almost geometric brows—sharp, defined, and bold enough to have their own zip code. So now you might be wondering: High arch? Low arch? Straight across? Soft curve? What actually looks good on me ? ...

I Do have Brows...but it's hard to see them.

Brow hair that are extremely light in color Eyebrows: the unsung heroes of your face. They frame your eyes, express your emotions, and—when they start lightening with age or were born blond/red to begin with—quietly disappear like a shy guest at a party.  Add the lightening of lash colors, your eyes get lost. If you’ve ever looked at a photo and thought, “Wait… where did my eyebrows go?” —you’re not alone. Bushy brows don’t help much if they’re so light they vanish in sunlight or flash photography. It’s like having a full head of hair that turns invisible at noon. Rude. Let’s talk about how to bring those peach fuzz brows back from the witness protection program. Why Brows Go Light (and Why It’s Annoying) As we age, hair loses pigment. That includes your brows. So even if you once had bold, expressive arches, they may start fading into a soft whisper. If you’re naturally blond or red-haired, you’ve probably been dealing with this your whole life—your brows are there, te...

Most men avoid makeup because they don’t want to look...

Permanent Makeup and Tattoo removal at home

Trying to Remove or Lighten Permanent Makeup at Home? Let’s Talk About What Actually Works. If you’ve had permanent makeup or microblading that didn’t turn out the way you hoped, you’re not alone. A quick online search will bring up dozens of over-the-counter acids, creams, and “tattoo lightening” solutions that promise to fade or remove pigment at home. Here’s the short version: none of them work. Common Over-the-Counter Acids & Products People Try People often experiment with: Glycolic acid Lactic acid Salicylic acid Retinol or vitamin A derivatives Chemical peels “Tattoo fading” creams or serums These products will exfoliate the surface of the skin, but tattoo pigment sits much deeper , in the dermis. Over-the-counter products simply cannot penetrate deep enough to affect permanent makeup or microblading pigment in any meaningful way. At best, they may cause temporary redness or irritation. At worst, they can damage the skin barrier, cause d...

Aging Men notice grey hair, thinning brows and lips.

Hey Guys—Let’s Talk...big sister here! Brow lacks volume, color and shape Alright, I’m going to say the quiet part out loud—because I care. 😉 If you’re a man 45 and over, chances are you’ve noticed some changes . Maybe it crept up slowly, maybe it felt like it happened overnight—but you’ve definitely clocked it in the mirror. The greying hair. Saggy eyelids. That puffiness under your eyes that didn’t used to be there. Brows thinning out… or turning gray. Lips losing their pink tone and looking a little thinner. Wrinkles showing up around the eyes, face, and neck like they pay rent. You notice it. Men always do. What most men don’t do? Talk about it. You’re not venting to your buddies at the bar about eyebrow hair loss. You’re probably not bringing it up in the locker room. Some men talk to their wives or girlfriends—but a lot of you just quietly live with the disappointment and keep moving. And let me tell you something lovingly honest: suffering in silence doesn’t ...

Men using makeup discreetly to restore color and definition

Men Can Look Younger with Subtle Permanent Makeup  aka Cosmetic Tattoo Aging brings changes that can make the face look tired, less defined, and older than we feel inside. While skincare and hair grooming help, many men overlook one powerful tool for restoring a youthful look: permanent makeup . When done subtly, it doesn’t look like makeup at all—it simply restores the definition, structure, and color that naturally fade with age. Women argue, "why do men age gracefully?".  It's because they don't know that men also use permanent makeup.  Here are three common age-related concerns men face, and how permanent makeup can discreetly solve them: Natural progression of aging.  Loss of color and hair on eyebrows 1. Restoring Brow thinning and color fade with Hairstroke Eyebrows Eyebrows frame the face and give it expression. With age, many men experience thinning brows or patchy hair loss . This can make the face appear tired, stern, or older. Hairstroke brows —...

Why Men’s Skincare Matters—The earlier you start, the better. Men are discovering permanent makeup, microblading and nano brows to restore definition around their eyes.  With age, their brow hairs are lighter in color, eyebrows are getting thinner, sparse, and have no shape.  Their lashes are lighter and thinning out too.   As a Permanent Makeup Artist , while designing their new eyebrows, I ask them a simple question.  What is your daily skin care routine?  Most common answer: I wash my face with soap morning and night.  Ta Dah!!!  That’s the jist of their routine.   It’s Not Just Vanity—It’s Vitality.  Looking rugged is no longer in, unless you're rangling cattle. For decades, skincare has been branded as feminine—but the truth is, healthy skin is not gendered. For men in their 30s and 40s, developing a solid skincare routine isn’t just about looking good. It’s about preserving the health, texture, and resilience of your ...
