My lips are pale and thin. How can I make them look fuller without filler injections?

Natural Lip Color that Last. Ever wish you can walk out of the house confidently with lip color that stays put WITHOUT looking too overdone? Whether you’re seeking a subtle everyday hue or a more semi permanent defined pout, here are my favorite ways to achieve a natural, subtle lip color that’s easy and fast to apply. Consider  Permanent Makeup  Lip Blushing (Above) Lip Blushing Healed Lip blushing is a permanent makeup technique where pigment is deposited into the lips by a trained professional tattoo artist. We first line the vermillion border with pigment to outline the lip shape, then shade the pigment into the rest of the lips to blend the colors together. This helps define the lip shape and adds a soft, natural tint. The result? A subtle but impactful boost in color to your lips that lasts for a year or longer. Permanent makeup goal is to appear like Lip Gloss, not Lip Stick. PROs: Long-lasting color (it can last for 1–2 years). Maintenance—simply add your ...

I have tiny white bumps around my eyes and eyelids. I can't pop them like a whitehead.

Image
When tattooing Permanent Eyeliner, some clients have small white bumps on their eyelids. Milia are small white bumps that form around the eyes and eyelids. They can form anywhere on the face, but the eye area is the most noticeable. What are they and what can I do to remove them? And most importantly, how do I prevent new ones? Milia are dead skin cells trapped under your skin and it forms into cysts. They are not painful nor harmful, but they are annoying when applying makeup. Milia is not a white head acne, where you can press the surrounding area to squeeze out the gooey puss. Milia seeds tends to be a little more cohesive and gummy in texture. Can they be easily removed? The answer is Yes and No. With the proper tool, angle and technique they can be quickly expelled. But unlike pimples, it’s not as easy to remove on your own. Depending on how old the bump is, it requires a little more “know how” to remove them. Do not squeeze them like a pimple. Because it is not ...

Is Permanent Makeup a good choice for me? If so, should I start with Brows, Eyeliner or Lip Blushing?

Image
Permanent makeup (PMU) is relatively an inexpensive, cosmetic procedure that can restore color and definition to your face. If you are unsure which procedure is best for you, here are some common thoughts to consider.  Which thoughts run through your head in the morning? Brows: I feel uncomfortable leaving the house or be seen in public without drawing in my brows. I don't know how to draw in brows, so it's very frustrating. I can draw in my Right brow, but have trouble filling in my Left brow...or vice versa. Eyes: My eyes feel small or invisible unless I have some eyeliner on. My waterproof eyeliner still smudges on a hot day or when I exercise. My hands are not steady therefore it is difficult for me to draw on liners. Lips: I used to have full lips, but now they are thin and non existant. I look sick or pale without lipstick. I apply lipstick several times a day. I can't use lipstick because I no longer have lips. I over draw my lip liner to make my lips look fuller...

I'm not tired, but I alway look tired. Can permanent makeup, microblading, make me look refreshed?

ABSOLUTELY!!! Permanent Makeup Brows Before/After In our 20s: eyebrows are bushy; eyes are clustered with long, dark lashes; and our lips are plump and pink. We use bold makeup because it is fun, colorful, and ornamental. In our 30s: still holding onto our youth... maybe some under eye concealer to brighten the eyes and a quick lip gloss application to add color to our face before leaving the house. In our 40s: we notice that our eyebrow hairs are finer and sparse; eyelashes lighten in color; and lips lose volume and color. In our 50s: our eyes are more sunken and fine lines develop around our eyes and lips. Don't panic!!! We will age gracefully... Looking younger and refreshed is achievable at any age. Focus on the Three key features: 1. Brows 2. Eyes 3. Lips Keep it simple. "The eyes are the window to your soul" — William Shakespeare.  Lips exudes sex appeal and a pop of color. Can a permanent makeup artist come to your home to provide services?   Permanent Makeup Brows Before/After  Photos I have a client who used to have a permanent makeup artist make house visits.  The procedure was completed on her reclining chair in the living room.  The set up was quick and afterwards, the Permanent Makeup Artist would pack up and leave. In the state of California this is illegal.  Permanent Makeup Artists are regulated by the County Health Services .  We are required to act in accordance within  OSHA guidelines and our office is annually inspected by the County Health Department.  They have specific requirements and guidelines for each practitioner and workspace.  The objective is to minimize cross contamination of blood borne pathogens .  It is illegal to conduct business outside our office in the state of California. Microblading and Permanent Makeup. Are they the same?

Image
Long ago, we used to call it Micro pigmentation.  Then it sounded better as Cosmetic Tattoo or Permanent Makeup in the 90s. Is Microblading the same as Permanent Makeup?   The answer is Yes.  Microblading is a tattoo on the brows.  Permanent Makeup is a tattoo.   Permanent Makeup Before and After Photos Think of Permanent Makeup as the Big Umbrella. Under the big umbrella, there are THREE Permanent Makeup tools aka modalities: 1. Rotary (electronic tattoo pen for the face, less thrust power than the tattoo machines used on the body) 2. SofTap (manual pen with needles to gently tap pigment into the skin) 3. Microblading  (manual pen with needles to make incisions in the skin)  Rotary Machine  Softap Needles MicroBlading Needles Microblading is one of the three modalities listed above. However, the internet interchanges the word "Permanent Makeup" and "Microblading".  You can create Hairlike strokes using all three modali...
